Today’s passage is Romans
7.

The verse that stood out in my mind is:

“I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin became alive
and I died; and this commandment, which was to result in life, proved to result in
death for me; for sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me
and through it killed me. So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and
righteous and good. ” Romans 7:9-12

This is an interesting concept that before the law I was alive but after the
law I was dead because of sin. But the law was also a means for me to return to God.
I failed following the law and so stayed in death until Jesus came and rescued us
from the penalty of the law. Now he resuced us from the penalty but we should still
cosider the law to be holy and to be obeyed. this is hard from our human perspective
but Jesus set the example of it while He was here on earth. I pray that I will
be able, with God’s help, to follow in Christ’s steps.
